About this site
Philenosis brings together its original subject material and a separately authored editorial reading room focused on science and philosophy.
What the reading room provides
Read the original essays in a navigable index, with section links for longer pieces. Mathematical expressions remain part of the original text. The date and byline on an essay identify its source rather than a new editorial attribution.
These guides support careful reading and clear records. They distinguish an original project or publication from a new editorial explanation, and an observed result from a hypothetical example.
Attribution
New guides are signed Editorial team. This identifies the website’s editorial contribution; it does not claim authorship by a person whose original work appears in the collection, a professional licence, or current affiliation with a historical business or institution. Original publications retain their own dates and attribution where available.
Finding a useful starting point
Use the topics page for the purpose of each guide and the blog for the reviewed reading list. Sources appear alongside the claims they support. Examples are labelled when hypothetical, and unresolved historical material is kept separate from the current reading list.
